The Center for the Study of Human Dignity is a Communication and Education endeavor aimed at the general public with emphasis on youth, child advocates and families.

Track One: Dignity Education Program
promotes the recognition of the universal needs of children and fosters the development of dignity through:

  1. a residential camp for youth from which we develop a portable model program for others to implement
  2. an in-depth study program designed for personal transformation of adult participants. As child advocates become practitioners and teachers of the Project’s concepts, they have the ability to free and channel the potential in children

The Study of Human Dignity curriculum is based on the concept of integrated life and supports the growth of true personhood. The curriculum includes the study of creativity, intuition, communication, individual and collective childhood history, cultural myths, social behavior, and health and lifestyle.

The format includes lecture, art, music, theater and wilderness adventure to provide comprehensive learning through experience.

The study program, limited to 24 participants, is a two week, in-depth residential program for child advocates, designed for personal transformation while providing skills and insights for working with children.

Participants will encounter multi-cultural themes and patterns that bring new awareness of the potential for human dignity. They will delve into living examples of dignity:
• in the manner of peoples who resonate to nature
• in the actions of communities who serve one another without motive
• in one who lives with abiding faith in love’s omnipresence

Track Two: Dignity Communication Program
involves dignity as expressed within the whole of humanity and the earth.

Divisions of race, color, faith and geographical boundary occlude the reality that dignity is embodied and fostered within pockets of societies and aspects of cultures past and present. The Communication Program is a long-term endeavor designed to promote the awareness and understanding of dignity through rich visual and multimedia information and experiences that engage participants in reflection, communication and dialogue.
